DevRelay in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Ask, draft and approve from there.
Connect your AI tool to DevRelay. Ask what shipped and why a PR got no post, have it draft and edit, and approve or schedule with a yes you give each time. Or use Ask, the same tools in a chat inside DevRelay.
Two releases went out: Send later and faster inbox search. Both have an X post and a changelog entry waiting for review.
CSV export merged on Tuesday but isn't in a release yet, so it's held. It gets drafts when it ships.
Approve the X post for Send later, version 2?
- 6 clients
- Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and more
- Asks every time
- before approve or publish
- Free plan
- read tools
You work in an AI tool all day. Your content lives in another tab.
Checking what's ready, why a release got no post, or approving a draft means leaving what you're doing.
One more dashboard
The inbox only gets opened when someone remembers it, so drafts wait days for a two-minute review.
“Why didn't this get a post?”
The answer is in the opportunity's timeline, three clicks away, so the question goes to Slack instead.
AI tools that act on their own
Giving an assistant write access usually means trusting it not to publish. Here it can't without asking you.
Everything in DevRelay, from the tool you already have open.
Read, draft and edit freely. Approving and publishing wait for your yes.

Ask about your content where you already work
Draft and edit without switching tabs
Approve with a yes, every time
Or ask inside DevRelay
It reads freely, edits inside DevRelay, and asks before anything goes out.
Each tool belongs to one of three levels. A token or a connected app only gets the levels you give it, and an admin can turn approve-and-publish tools off for the whole workspace.
Read
Everything in your workspace: Today, opportunities, drafts and their checks, the calendar, the Brain, Engage threads and your docs. Reading never calls a model.
- “What shipped this week?”
- “Why did this PR get no post?”
- “What's scheduled for Thursday?”
Draft and edit
Changes that stay inside DevRelay and can be undone: edit, refine, reject and regenerate drafts, draft from a PR or an idea, add rules, ideas, sources and topics. An edit makes a new version; nothing publishes.
- “Make the X post shorter”
- “Draft posts for PR 412”
- “Add a rule: never say “blazing fast””
Approve and publish
Approve, publish, schedule, change settings and delete. Your AI tool asks you every time, with the exact draft and version. A tool that can't ask gets a link to do it in DevRelay instead.
- “Approve both drafts”
- “Schedule the LinkedIn post for 9am”
- “Turn on the weekly roundup”
One server URL. Sign in, or paste a token.
Claude and ChatGPT connect with sign-in: a DevRelay consent page shows the workspace and what the app may do before you allow it. Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code use a personal token you create in Settings → MCP, which expires after 90 days by default and can be revoked any time.
Claude.ai and Claude Desktop
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the server URL, then Connect and sign in to DevRelay. Claude Desktop and Claude on your phone get it too.
https://api.devrelay.so/mcp
ChatGPT
Settings → Apps & Connectors, turn on Developer mode under Advanced, then Create: paste the server URL, choose OAuth and sign in to DevRelay.

Claude Code
Create a personal token in DevRelay under Settings → MCP, then run this. --scope user makes DevRelay available in every project.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user devrelay \ https://api.devrelay.so/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer drly_pat_…"
Cursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or .cursor/mcp.json in one project, with a personal token.

}VS Code
Add this to .vscode/mcp.json. VS Code asks for the token the first time and keeps it out of the file.

}An AI tool in your workspace, on a short leash.
Connecting accounts, members, billing and uploads aren't tools at all. Each token gets 120 read calls and 30 other calls a minute.
Your access, nothing more
Every call runs as you, against your live membership. Lose access to the workspace and the token stops working. Tokens are stored hashed and shown once.
Text from outside stays data
PR descriptions, threads and web pages come back in fields marked as untrusted, so your AI tool doesn't take instructions from them. Secrets are redacted.
Community posts stay manual
Replies, Reddit posts and HN submissions are never posted through a tool. You get the approved text and the link, and you post it yourself.
Questions about the MCP server.
01Which AI tools work with DevRelay?
Any MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP. We document Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. The server URL is https://api.devrelay.so/mcp.
02Can my AI tool publish without asking me?
No. Approving, publishing, scheduling, changing settings and deleting ask you in your AI tool every time, with the draft and version. If your tool can't ask, it gets a link to do it in DevRelay instead. An admin can also turn these tools off for the workspace.
03What can it do on the free plan?
On the free plan every read tool works: what shipped, drafts, why a change was held, your Brain and docs. Drafting, editing, approving and Ask are on the DevRelay plan.
04What's the difference between Ask and the MCP server?
They use the same tools. The MCP server puts them in your own AI tool. Ask is a chat page inside DevRelay for people who don't use one, with approvals as Confirm and Cancel cards.
05Can it reply to threads or post to Reddit for me?
No. Community replies, Reddit posts and HN submissions are always posted by a person. The tool returns the approved text and the link to the thread.
06How do I see what my AI tool did?
Settings → MCP lists your recent tool calls with their outcome, and every change it made shows in Activity with the name of the app that made it. You can revoke a token or disconnect an app there.
Ask your AI tool what shipped.
